Hi, I'm Chris.

If you're here, there's a good chance we share a passion for motorcycles, cars, technology, and the never-ending search for products that actually live up to the hype.

I grew up in Hampton, Virginia, where my love for anything with an engine started at an early age. Today I call Raleigh, North Carolina home, where I continue to combine my passion for riding, driving, teaching, and creating content for enthusiasts around the world.

Before beginning my career in law enforcement, I spent nearly seven years working full-time in Emergency Medical Services. During that time, I responded to countless motor vehicle collisions and motorcycle crashes, seeing firsthand how quickly an ordinary ride can change someone's life. That experience taught me that preparation, training, and quality safety equipment aren't just nice to have—they can genuinely make a difference when everything goes wrong.

Today, I proudly serve as a police officer with the Raleigh Police Department and currently ride on the Motor Unit. Motorcycles aren't just something I enjoy on weekends—they're part of my everyday profession. Beyond patrol, I also teach through the Police Academy and BikeSafe North Carolina, where I have the opportunity to help riders improve their skills, build confidence, and make safer decisions on the road.

Those experiences have shaped how I approach every review I produce.

Why I Started 4K Motoring

I created 4K Motoring because I wanted to make the kind of reviews I was searching for myself.

Too often, products are tested for a few hours or a single weekend before being labeled "the best." I believe the real story begins after thousands of miles, months of ownership, and plenty of time spent in the garage.

Whether I'm reviewing motorcycle communication systems, riding gear, navigation equipment, garage tools, or taking my Corvette to the race track, my goal is always the same:

Provide honest, practical information that helps people spend their hard-earned money wisely.

If something performs well, I'll explain why.

If something disappoints, I'll explain that too.

My Philosophy

Every recommendation on this website has earned its place.

If I don't personally use it, trust it, or recommend it to my own family and friends, you won't find it here.

Beyond the Garage

When I'm not filming videos or working in the garage, you'll usually find me exploring North Carolina on two wheels, attending track days with my Corvette, testing the latest motorcycle technology, teaching riders through BikeSafe, or taking on another project that somehow became much bigger than I originally planned.
